How to access the platform

To access the EyeV platform, you’ll need to visit the website address for your region.

Logging on for the first time

As a Practice Super Admin (a practice manager)

You should have received a link to onboard your practice with the EyeV platform. Each link is different depending on which area you’re based in.

The EyeV onboarding form for Practice Super Admins (practice managers)

To satisfy the region’s Information Governance requirements, you will need to take a selfie with your webcam, and take a picture of the front and back of your passport or driving licence. This is only so that we can verify that you are who you say you are, and we delete all of the images as soon as we’ve verified your identity, which usually happens in minutes.

We never keep verification images for longer than we need to. Once we have verified your identity, we delete all of your verification images.

As an optometrist

You will receive a link to onboard your practice with the EyeV platform, after your practice manager adds you to their account. This will come via email from EyeV ([email protected]), and will look like this:

Hi [your name],

You have been invited to use the EyeV Electronic Eyesore Referral System by [your practice].

Click here to finish setting up your account: [link to activate your account].

Practice Super Admins

Practice Super Admins (who is usually the practice manager), are able to do additional tasks on behalf of their practice, such as setting up additional optometrists.

Adding additional optometrists to the practice

When you’re logged in to EyeV, hover over the ‘EERS ADMINISTRATION‘ tab on the navigation bar, then click on My Optometrists.

Click My Optometrists to access the optometrists within your practice.

From this screen, you can see all of the optometrists that are assigned to your practice. If you want to add additional optometrists, click Add Optometrist.

To add an optometrist, all you need is their GOC number, name and email address. Click “Submit” once you’ve filled in all of their details, and your optometrist will receive an email asking them to sign up to EyeV.

Your optometrist will receive an email similar to the one below.

Hi [your name],

Resetting login details

If you forget your login details, it’s really easy to reset your password.

Firstly, you’ll need to visit EyeV.
- North East and Yorkshire
- Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes

Then click “Login” in the top right hand corner.

You’ll be taken to the EyeV login page. If you’ve forgotten your password, click Forgot password?

You’ll receive an email from EyeV with a link to reset your password. Just follow the link in the email, and you’ll be able to reset your password.
